Betty was born on June 21, 1930 in Wynne, Arkansas to William & Marie (Roberts) Anders.
Her family moved to Wilder, Idaho when she was in her late teens. There she met & later married James (Jim) Batt on May 27, 1951. Betty & Jim moved to Caldwell, Idaho a few years later where they lived & raise their family. They briefly lived in So Dakota & Lincoln, NE. Betty moved to Wenatchee, WA & then to Snohomish, WA after Jim passed away in 1989.
Betty was an excellent cook, gardener, seamstress & all things creative & artistic. She loved to entertain & was a mighty good bridge player. She had a great sense of humor & big heart. After she moved to Snohomish she worked at both Star Center Antique Mall & Upper Case Books. She was a member St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim of 38 years, two sisters & other extended family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Holly Batt-Tormohlen (Van), son, Chris Batt (Lisa), her cherished grandchildren Nic & Katie Tormohlen, her siblings Deanna Lawless & Dave Anders as well as numerous other extended family.
A memorial service for Betty will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 913 2nd St, Snohomish, WA.
