George Findlay Stavros was the third child of John & Alice Stavros. He was born in Seattle, grew up in Shoreline, and, after a long battle with cancer, passed away at his Snohomish home on December 30th.
“Keoke” as friends called him, was an Army vet, and a master woodworker, and a longtime member of the Local 206, Western States Carpenters Union. He was happiest riding his Harley, playing his collection of drums, eating freshly caught dungeness crab on a Puget Sound beach and tending to his garden.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the out doors. His love of music was infectious and he is remembered so vividly through his favorite songs.
He loved deeply and loudly and gave the best hugs in the world.
He is survived by his 4 children, seven grandchildren as well as his two great grandchildren.
At his request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
