Ilene Evelyn Erickson

Ilene lived a life of service and sacrifice blessing those around her with her bright smile and laugh. Before retirement, Ilene worked at the Marysville School District in food service. She loved to cook and prepare food not just for the students at school, but for the Salvation Army providing dinners for those in need. Beyond serving people, she had a great love for animals. She often collected dog and cat food for the local animal shelters and spent many Saturdays serving at Pet adoption events. She loved the greyhounds that she rescued, Flare, Duncan and Kaylee, as well as many friends’ dogs that she cared for over the years. Ilene loved her church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and served there regularly. Ilene is survived by her nephews & niece, Randy & April Rashell (Frederick, MD) and Curtis Rashell (Marysville, WA) and her great niece & nephews, Kaitlyn Rashell, Charlie Rashell, and Evan Rashell (Randy & April Rashell), and her great-great niece, Alice Rashell (Kaitlyn Rashell). Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Viola Edgar, her brother, James Edgar, and her twin sister, Irene Rashell.

There will be a celebration of life at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 7215 51st Street NE, Marysville, WA on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10:00am with a reception to follow at 1:00pm.
