

November 9, 1928 - July 23, 2014 A resident of Snohomish for the past 50 years, Jim was the son of Bill and Georgia Morse, of Edison, Wash. He graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 1947 and served in the US army in Germany in 1951-1952. In 1954, Jim met Clare Sloan of Kent. They were married in 1955 and made their first home in Bellingham while he attended Western Washington College of Education, receiving his B.A. in Education and Masters of Education degrees. He worked as a teacher and administrator in the Monroe School District for over forty years. Jim is survived by Clare; their children, Kathie Webber, Patricia Valentine, Tom Morse, Mariane McLean, Caroline Ferguson, Jim Morse, Bill Morse, Joe Morse, and Lisa Smith-Morse; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and his sister, Lorna Franulovich. The Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on August 4, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish. Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on August 5th at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Snohomish. Burial at 3 p.m. on August 6th at the Bow Cemetery in Skagit County.
