John loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was an entrepreneur and a story teller and a mentor to his daughters, and many others. He will be sorely missed.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elizabeth Moss of Spokane. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Moss, daughter Lori Moss, daughter and son-in-law, Molli Moss and Jeff Kyle, sisters Margo Wilson and Susan Meyer and their families. John was born in Spokane, WA on June 5th 1944 and received an MBA from Washington State University. He grew up watering skiing and sailing on Coeur d’Alene Lake in Idaho and continued to spend time at the family summer cabin throughout his life.
He served in various roles in higher education administration, including as one of the original founders of Evergreen State College in Olympia and as President of the Everett and Edmonds Community College District. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start several companies, including what is now Event Producers, which is operated by his daughter, Molli.
John and Carolyn recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and close friends in Italy. John was active in his Church, serving in various leadership roles.
A Memorial Service will take place on May 12th at 2 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Snohomish. Contributions in memory of John may be made in his name to the First Presbyterian Church of Snohomish.
