On Sunday, August 5, 2018, Lorna Mae Kelly, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with our
Lord Savior at the age of 66. Lorna was born on May 1, 1952 in Everett Washington to Max and Una
Ford.
She was raised on a farm in Machias Washington along with her two brothers and two sisters. Lorna, as
well as her siblings, had a passion for horses that led to her dad founding and leading the Rounders 4‐H
club. They would host horse play‐days on their property for years after Lorna graduating from
Snohomish High School in 1970.
Lorna was known for her adventurous spirit. She continued to own horses most of her life, gaming in
local play‐days with her daughters and trail riding in the Cascade Mountains with her family. While
working at Fluke in marketing, she met the love of her life, Bryan, and was married on September 22nd
1984. Later retiring from Fluke with over two decades with the company. She stayed in the Snohomish
area her entire life until recently relocating to Arlington with her husband to their dream house on the
lake.
After retirement, Lorna was passionate about breeding, raising and showing pedigreed Ragdoll cats, so
much so that she owned a successful business selling Ragdoll kittens all over the world. Over the years,
she has met many of her close friends from it. She was a world traveler, taking along her mother,
husband, children, and grandchildren on her adventures. Lorna enjoyed cruising the Mediterranean,
horseback riding the Canadian Rocky Mountains, exploring the Mayan ruins, touring New Zealand by
camper van, traversing a wild African safari, glided through Venice's grand waterways, walked the old
roads of Israel, viewing Iceland by Icelandic pony, listening to the waves at her brother, Lonney and
Stacey’s Mexican villa and many other exciting trips. Lorna has lived a life full of love and passion for her
family and friends.
Lorna was predeceased by her father Max, Aunt Diane, and Nephew Justin.
She is survived by her husband Bryan of 33 years, her mother Una; brothers Lonney and Kerry, sisters
Maxine and Tamera, children Stacey, Kelli (Jazon), Hannah (Chris), and nine grandchildren, Kylie,
Sammie, Kirsa, Brad, Wesley, Julia, Colt, Georgia, Dawson and with another granddaughter expected in
October.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations can be made out to the Burn Road Bible
Church in Lorna’s name.
A celebration of Lorna's life will be held on August 15th at 1:00 pm at LifePoint Church, 14619 28th St NE,
Lake Stevens
