

Myrtle Eliza Langbecker Chase, daughter of Karl and Sarah (Strege) Langbecker, Myrtle was born in Everett, Washington. She met Archie W. Chase while he was stationed at Paine Field during WWII. They married at Zion Lutheran Church in Snohomish in 1941, where she attended church and parochial school. After graduation from Snohomish H.S., she attended beautician’s school. Most of her life was spent in Washington, with a period of time in the Buffalo/Selman, Oklahoma area. Of the many jobs she held, one of her most rewarding was an activity director at Snohomish Chalet. From her garden, she made many floral arrangements for functions at Zion Lutheran Church, where she quilted and made 4845 hats for chemo patients.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Archie Chase, siblings Elinor Bartelheimer, Alice Rise, and Karl Langbecker. She is survived by her loving children: Laraine Hunt, Joann (Gary) Olson, James Chase, Timothy Chase (Katrina), Tammy (Bob) Chase, along with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
