Bill graduated from Snohomish High School in 1944. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.
As a tool maker, he retired after a 40 year career with the Boeing Company and was a recipient of the Boeing Company Employee of the Year Award.
He was married to Billie Jean (Smith) in 1957. Before and after his retirement, Bill raised vegetables and produce to support, with his wife, the Zion Lutheran Church's School Lunch Program. Both he and his wife were very active in the church and also, as members of the Monroe Swiss Colony.
Bill was a beekeeper, a gardener, a fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Ulrich (Phyllis); son, Ronnald; daughters, Judy English (Dennis) and Kris Elfman; grandchildren, Jackie (Ray), Jeff (Ruth), Rebecca (Dan), Larry, Rachel and Cassandra; great-grandchildren, Emily, Hanna, Ashley, David, Grace, Brady; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Hans Ulrich; wife, Billie Jean; and great grandchild, Mark Kmitta.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bauer Funeral Services, Snohomish. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Snohomish, Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church.
