Elaine VanOuwerkerk

Elaine was born July 12, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Bernard and Angeline( Kolinski) Seliger. Elaine married James Van Ouwerkerk October 13th 1974 in Milwaukee, he preceded her in death December 10, 2009. She retired from Milwaukee in 1986.

Elaine enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening and taking care of her pets, but most of all she loved to be with her family.

Those who loved and shared her life are her eight children: Robert (Xernah) Matousek of Minong, William Matousek of Milwaukee, Michael Matousek of Milwaukee, Anna Smith of Minong, Todd Matousek of Minong, Gena (Todd) Tylee of Minong, Eugene (Lisa) Goertz of Muskego, WI, Jimmie (Lee) Becherer of Minong, twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister Rose Kanisky of Wind Lake, WI.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert Matousek, her second husband Eugene Goertz Sr. two brothers Robert, Clarence Seliger, one sister Germaine Chauvin.

Memorial services will be held noon Friday August 24th 2012 at the Minong Town Hall. Pastor Jerry Van Domelen will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service at the town hall. Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
