Ruth was born May 19, 1933 in Hawthorne, WI to the late Iver & Alice (Bond) Johnson.
Ruth married Herbert Carl Schmidt June 16th, 1956, he preceded her in death July 2, 2010.
She enjoyed her vegetable and flowers gardens on one acre of land. Ruth loved to read and knit in her spare time.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her son; Dennis Schmidt of Rochester, MN, three grandchildren: Daniel, Stephen, Margret Schmidt of Rochester, MN,
She is preceded in death by one son: Duane H. Schmidt August 1, 2009 one daughter-in-law: Joan Schmidt 2004.
Graveside Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Hawthorne Cemetery in Hawthorne, WI. Pastor Tom Lindberg will officiate.
