Alda (Benedetti) Kolinski

Alda M. Kolinski, 96, of Solvay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at Loretto. Born in Warners, she was the youngest of eleven children born to the late Robert and Angeline Benedetti. In 1938 she married Harry L. Collins with whom she had two sons, Ronald and Donn. After the unexpected death of her husband in 1962, she obtained a cosmetology license and went to work to support her family. She was a self-employed hairdresser for many years.

In 1965 she married Alfred Kolinski. They enjoyed a twenty five year union until his passing in 1990. A fabulous cook, Alda was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Assembly Church in Solvay.

She is survived by her sons Ronald (Maggie) and Donn (Kay) and her beloved grandson, Harry. She is also survived by a niece, a nephew and several great-nieces and nephews.

Her family is grateful to the 8th staff at Loretto for providing kind and compassionate care during her three year residency.

Calling hours are private. Funeral services are at 10 am Friday at the Chapel at Loretto, 700 E. Brighton Ave. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, has care of arrangements.
