Ann (Lalla) Salvagni

The best wife, mom, gramma, sister, aunt and friend, Ann Marie (Lalla) Salvagni, 87, of Solvay, was escorted into eternity peacefully Saturday, October 24, 2015 surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Syracuse to the late Angelo and Mary (Franchella) Lalla in 1928. She was a secretary at the former Stanton Foundry in Solvay for over 20 years and worked part time for Dey Bros. in Fairmount and at Annie’s Hallmark in Westvale. She was a member of Solvay Senior Citizens, Solvay Tigers Auxiliary, and The Tyrol Club of Solvay Auxiliary. Ann was an avid league bowler at Solvay Recreation Center and an avid Yankees, Syracuse Basketball and Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and travelling with family and friends, especially to Saratoga Racetrack and the Adirondack Region, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Ann was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Aldo in 2012, sisters, Rose Ferrante and Rosewin Vincentini and brothers, Joseph and Charles Lalla.

She is survived by her 2 daughters; Donna (Richard) Blanchard, of Solvay and Diana (Steve) Hunter, of Onondaga Hill, 2 sons; Robert (Joni) Salvagni, of Solvay and Mark (Joyce) Salvagni, of Solvay, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Angels of God that were placed in Mom’s life to care for her, Dr. Joseph T. Barry, “Martha”, and Hanna, THANK YOU!!

Funeral services will be held 9:00 am Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ann Marie Salvagni to The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital or Score International Water House.
