Joseph M Panighetti

Joseph M. Panighetti, 50, of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home. He was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Solvay High School. He worked in the warehouse for Penn Traffic for 26 years, later as a driver for Superior Lubricants in Syracuse. Joseph was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church. He was a lifetime member of Lakeside Fire Department and was a HUGE Syracuse Crunch fan and baseball enthusiast. Joe was predeceased by a sister, Teresa Crowe in 2014.

He is survived by his daughter; Alison, parents; Mario and Mary Ann (Komar) Panighetti, of Lakeland, 2 sisters; Kathleen (Sal Jr.) Sciuga, of Solvay and Christine McConnell, of Lakeland, a brother; Richard (Sue) Panighetti, of Baldwinsville, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Friday, November 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Church, Lakeland. The Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St.
