

Norma (Lorenzoni) Doucette, 98, of Liverpool, NY, formerly of Venice, Fl Passed away peacefully on January 1, 2016. She was born on June 29, 1917 in Little Falls, NY to Theresa (Fenni) and Torquato Lorenzoni.
Norma was born and raised in Little Falls, and then moved to Dolgeville, NY where she raised her family. She left Dolgeville with stops in Spring Valley, NY and Florence, Italy before settling in Venice, Florida where she and Clarence enjoyed many wonderful years in retirement. She was a loving mother and wife who placed the wellbeing of her family above all other pursuits. Her cooking ability was legend and a vehicle for her love. She will be missed by all of her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Doucette, her son Clarence “Frenchie” Doucette, Jr. and her sister Rose (Lorenzoni) Shaver.
Norma is survived by her son, Robert and daughter in law, Kathleen; grandchildren, Sarah and Erin; great grandchildren, Riley, Brennan, Finn, Hayden and Emerson; cousin, John Lorenzoni; grandniece, Michelle Shaver and grandnephews, Greg and Tom Shaver.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Lucy’s Church, 432 Gifford Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Lucy’s parish or Supportive Services for Veterans Families, 1654 W. Onondaga Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
