Violet Delany

Violet M. Delany, 87, of Fairmount, passed away Monday at home surrounded by her loving children. Born in Rochester, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was the president’s assistant of the former Share Brothers Brokerage House in Syracuse and a communicant of Holy Family Church. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and appreciation for life. She inspired and touched many lives with her smile, warm heart, wisdom and sense of humor. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis in 1968 and daughter Patricia in 2004.

She is survived by her children; John “Jack” Delany, of Fairmount, Kathleen (Christopher) Delany-Foley, of Pleasantville and James Delany, of Fairmount, 6 grandchildren; Jennifer, Alex, Griffin, Rachel, Maria and Nicole, great grandson; Devon, and two nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday Feb. 5th at 9 am in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements. Private burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
