

Joanne T. Saber, a beloved resident of Somerset, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on November 8, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on August 29, 1957, in Fall River, she was the cherished daughter of the late Stanley and Rosanna (McCrohan) Nowicki and sister to the late Robert “Bobby” Nowicki. Joanne spent her early years in Fall River before making Somerset home in 2009.
Joanne shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Philip J. Saber. Together, they raised a loving family which includes their son, Philip Saber Jr, and his wife Rebecca and their daughter, Tanya Mello, and her husband Richard. Joanne was a proud grandmother to Jacob, Abigail, Tyler, Kate, Mathieu, Mason, and Brody. Joanne also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Known for her love of arts and crafts, Joanne was exceptionally talented at craftmaking, creating beautiful wreaths, sewing, and painting. She had a passion for watching sports, especially football, and was an avid supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Above all, family was everything to Joanne. She found immense joy in babysitting and caring for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Joanne also loved to watch the hummingbirds that visited her many feeders she had set up in her yard each year.
Private services will be held in her honor. Joanne will be remembered for her creativity, her love for her family, and her vibrant spirit.
