Leigh Ann Sullivan

Leigh Ann Sullivan, 42, of Somerset, Massachusetts, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on December 29, 1983, in Arlington, Texas, Leigh Ann will be remembered as a beloved and humorous presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Leigh Ann was a graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 2001, went on to earn her associate’s degree from Bristol Community College, and was just a few credits away from earning her bachelor’s degree. She worked for Stop & Shop for many years, a job she began while still in high school and was a preschool teacher at the John E. Boyd Center in Fall River for several years.

Those who knew Leigh Ann will remember that she always had a smile and truly believed she was the funniest person in the room—an enduring part of her spirit that brought light to those around her. Leigh Ann enjoyed time at the family summer beach cottage with her children, and kayaking with friends on Sawdy Pond. Above all else, the most important things in her life were her children, who she loved with all her heart.

Leigh Ann is survived by her mother, Susan L. Bertrand, and her long-time companion, John S. Arruda; son, Eli William Hagerman Sullivan; daughter, Olivia Rose Hagerman Sullivan; sister, Haley Rose Sullivan; brothers, William S. Sullivan III and David Turner; grandmothers, Vivian Bertrand and Margaret Mary Sullivan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, William S. Sullivan II, and her grandfathers, William J. Sullivan and Romeo R. Bertrand.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visiting Hours on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4 to 7pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St, Fall River, on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Star Kids Scholarship Program Newport/Fall River, PO Box 6214, Middletown, RI 02842, that helps Eli and Olivia with educational assistance.
