Born in Fall River, a son of the late John and Laura (Entwhistle) Kilroy, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Kilroy was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Corrections Officer for over 33 years retiring from Bridgewater State Prison in 1996. He was also a member of the Fall River Liberal Club.
He is survived by one daughter; Colleen M. Branco and her husband Mario P. of Dacula, GA, three grandchildren; Ryan, Taryn, and Jared Branco, and two great grandchildren; Adrian and Ava Branco. He was father of the late John F. Kilroy and brother of the late Jack Kilroy.
His Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County Street, Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Avenue, Somerset. Visiting hours Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
