

Born in Lomba Da Maia, Sao Miguel, a son of the late Antonio and Ines (Do Rego) Ferreira, he was a long time resident of Dartmouth. David was a veteran of the Portuguese Armed Forces. He later immigrated to the United States and was the owner of D&G Seafood.
David loved his family dearly; he enjoyed spending time with his family; traveling to Portugal with his wife Goretti, gardening and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians.
In addition to his loving wife Goretti, he is survived by his children, Jennifer Goncalves and her husband Nelson of Dartmouth, David Ferreira Jr. and his companion Luci Carvalho of Dartmouth and Phillip Ferreira and his companion Angela Botelho of New Bedford; his grandchildren, David and Kelsey Ferreira and Faith Goncalves; his siblings, Antonio Ferreira of Portugal, Jose Ferreira of Canada, Edward Ferreira of Portugal, Hermano Ferreira of Canada, Helena Pontes, Maria-Jose Pontes, Edwarda Almeida and Nesia Ponte all of Portugal’ and many nieces and nephews.
David’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:30AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt.
