Helen M. Clifford

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Viola (Thurston) McMullen, she was a life-long resident of the area.

Mrs. Clifford was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hallmark Nursing home for over thirty years before retiring. She later volunteered at the Dartmouth Council on Aging for many years.

She was a member of the People’s Christian Church in New Bedford and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by three children, Linda Roda (Robert) of Bradenton, Florida, Lorna Ketin (Steven Murphy) of New Bedford and Richard Clifford of Rhode Island; twelve grandchildren, Kara, Kendra, Adam, Erin, Ted, Ayla, Tarik, Robert Jr., Jerome, Aaron, Kenneth, Stephen and Laura; great grandchildren, Kayley, Whitney, Angela, Drew and Easton; two brothers, Raymond Jr. (Dolly) and Robert (Cathy) McMullen, both of Florida; a sister, Patricia Robinson (Vernon) of Rhode Island; sons-in-law, Ahmet Ketin and Kenneth D’Arcy, both of Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Florence Wypych of Westport; several nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Lois D’Arcy and Robert Clifford and sister of the late Abbott McMullen.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Visitation 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
