I had the pleasure and privilege of teaching with Jean for many years at Bishop Stang. She had an outgoing personality, a sweet and compassionate spirit, and a genuine heart of gold. She was a willing and passionate servant of Christ, and I will never forget her infectious smile and open heart.. You were loved by so many Jean, but especially by God Himself. Your legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of many. Rest in peace and love, my sweet friend.

My deepest condolences.. Jean as everyone knows has many families as she was so loved by all. I can speak for her Stang Family when I say she was the nicest mellow..everything will be ok attitude.I always seen her smile and can't remember a frown..Everyone in life comes along and affects people in different ways. She was always so nice and optimistic when I saw her at Christmas and some other holidays. 
If anyone deserves to be on the fast track to meeting God ...you will be that person. Thank you for all you've done for Stang community and much more. I will miss you. Til we meet again🙏🏼😢

To Jean's family,I am so very sorry to learn of Jean's death. "Ms.Revil" was a light in my child's life during her 4 years at BSHS. After she left I was happy to see Jean from time to time and share with her my appreciation for her awesome life and outlook.  Wonderful woman gone too soon.  I am sure she went straight to heaven!

I was a student of Ms. Revil’s at Bishop Stang. Ms. Revil truly changed my life. She gave me the gift of faith, Thank you for leaving an indelible mark on my life and my soul, Ms. Revil. You have changed the lives of so many and will never be forgotten. Rest in the sweetest peace.

Ms. Revil was the absolute best! I was extremely fortunate to have her as a teacher. I can’t describe how awesome of a spirit teacher she was. I was even luckier to see her at church a lot lately. We spoke recently and she was her normal loving/welcoming self. Like the last 15 years was only a day. We were lucky to have her around us.

Miss Revil was a wonderful coach and religion teacher. She brought the best out of her athletes and students not just by sharing her talents of teaching and coaching but by teaching by example through the Christ- centered life she lived. Especially at her retirement when she volunteered her time and talents to My Brothers Keeper. She shined her light on so many of us - I’m lucky to have been one of her  students and recipients of her life long teachings.  God Bless you Miss Revil.

I knew Jean all through the Bridgewater schools & even carpooled with her a few days a week to & from Stonehill College.  She was the best & quite a character!  Always made you laugh with that big smile!

Dear Linda,John,Joe,Paul and family's,  Jean and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. Even  if we hadn't seen each other in years, when we spoke or did see each other, time vanished! There were 4 of us from B-R that stayed in touch- Cindy, Sally, Margaret and Jean. Cindy and I got to have a great kayaking adventure with Jean  on the salt water marshes not far from her house (with a lot of laughter!) When we were young, we loved to go to yard sales and biking to the beach on the Cape. Back then, decoupage was very popular and Jean made me one that I still have- a picture of a Teddy Bear that needed mending with a Poem by Emily Dickinson(1830-1886)"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; If i can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain." I was a participant in Jean’s Bible study class at Saint Patrick’s  for  7 years. During that time, I tried to talk my daughter into joining the class. It took a little while to accomplish this, but she did start going to Bible study with Jean. As a result of these classes she was  encouraged by Jean to go through the RCIA program and make her confirmation.  But Jean didn’t stop there. She also encouraged my daughter to have her marriage blessed in the church.  It happen! Hallelujah.

To Jean's family and those who were particularly close to Jean: I know that she's in heaven. There's no doubt in my mind. But it all seems too surreal and too sudden. She was remembered in all of my Masses this weekend and will continue to be in my prayer. My life was enriched just knowing her.

The world has lost a beautiful soul but Heaven has gained an Angel.
It would be an understatement for me to say Jean was a thoughtful and talented educator.  As a religious education teacher she taught me about the importance of Grace, Spirituality, Kindness, Compassion, Tolerance and Love. I was blessed to know her after graduation as a dear friend of my extended family. Her life was about service to others and indeed sadly, tragically that’s what she was doing at the time of her death. The world needs more people like Jean, I hope to honor her by my own service to others in her memory. My condolences to her family and dear friends for their loss.

Our prayers are with you all,  Jean’s family and friends. So glad we  got to know her.

Miss Revil was one of the most kind and unassuming people that I have encountered in my life. Though I haven’t seen or spoken to her since I left Stang in 1995, I still remember her warm smile and deep faith that she was proud to share with everyone she encountered. Though so incredibly tragic, it is fitting that she died while in the service of others. She was a gift to this world and will be rewarded richly in Heaven. Rest in peace, Miss Revil.

Sad to say goodby to one of the sweetest, caring, and most honest people I ever met. Jeannie was a cousin that I always left saying, "l can't wait to see her again"

In addition to those activities outlined, Jean was an active and enthusiastic member of the St. Julie Billiart Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  The combination of spirituality, service, and compassion was always strong and evident.   She was surely one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all.

Jean was a light to all who knew her... My husband and I shared years working beside her at Bishop Stang.  Her faith was the mainstay of her life... and she lived it by sharing it and loving others generously.  May she rest in the embrace of her beloved Jesus who she loved and served so well... My sympathies to Jean’s family. Jean was the greatest and most unselfish person, who represented what service really meant. She had a palpable joy that she attributed to her love of God, of others and her faith. Always with a warm hug to greet, a smile to share and a laugh that was infectious.  Truly a special human being.

As a child I grew up in Bridgewater and resided on Broad St and became friends with the Revil family whom resided on High Street in the ranch on top of the hill!  John and Rita Revil welcomed me into their home.  I have  so many wonderful memories of Jean when we all  summered in West Yarmouth MA  in a cute cottage on Mill Pond.
My heart is broken at the loss of Jean from a tragic accident while volunteering her time helping others.  That was our Jean.  Always giving.

My heart is sad at the passing of my friend Jean.  We spent many wonderful years teaching together at Bishop Stang.  Jean's deep faith was evident in everything she did and how she lived her life.  She was a true role model to not only her students but to her colleagues.  If she saw someone who was "hurting" (myself included) she did not hesitate to reach out.  She always ended the conversations with "I'll keep you in my prayers."  It was not an empty phrase but a promise.
May we all take a little piece of Jean with us and pass it on.
Rest in peace, my friend; you have earned your this eternal rest.  Look down on us and "keep us in your prayers."  You will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace Jean.  It was a pleasure working with you at the funeral home, you were so kind hearted.  You will be missed.

Heaven has gained an angel.  Jean was a gift of God sent to Stang to bestow wisdom, guidance a shoulder and be our mentor and friend.  Arch Angel Jean Revil was all those things and more.  She died helping others, may her wings be glorious and her memory live on in all those she helped and inspired over the years.

Jean was in my Cursillo prayer group “back in the day”.  When I think of Jean I see her warm, bright smile,and I remember the hugs that warmed body and soul.  She was someone to admire yet humble enough not to notice that she was admirable.. Jean was Intelligent, giving, and compassionate. A compelling humanitarian who lived the words and teachings of Christ. Our world was better with she in it, now Heaven has another Saint.

Sincere condolences to the family members of Jean L. Revil.  May the memories you shared with Jean bring moments of smiles to your heart and face, despite the sadness you will feel as a result of her passing. As a teacher and friend at Stang, Miss Revil helped me, and many others who had to deal with losses during our time there. That this happened while she was volunteering, helping others, is a testament to her character. R.I.P. miss Revil, pray for us.

This is so tragic  Jean was department head, mentor and friend a Bishop Stang High School in the 1980’s to mid 90’s.  She was an incredible teacher role model and mentored me as a young teacher. She always put others before herself and lived an incredible Christian life of giving and service. God has a special place waiting for her in heaven. An angel has gotten her wings.
