

Julietta Miguel (Senra) Reis, age 84, of Dartmouth died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of Jose Honorato Reis with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage this past July.
Julietta was born and raised in Joao Bom Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose Miguel DeCosta Senra and the late Maria Alexandrinha (Botelho) Miguel. She immigrated to the United States in 1954 and settled in Dartmouth where she lived for many years.
Mrs. Reis was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son Edward George Reis and his wife Cynthia of Dartmouth, two daughters Natalie Reis Medeiros and her husband Louie of Dartmouth and Diane Marie Veziroglu and her husband Mustafa of Monte Sereno, CA; two grandchildren Bren and Eren Veziroglu. She was also the sister Gilda Arruda of New Bedford, Alzira Viveiros of Sao Miguel, Azores; Jose Miguel and his wife Maria Jose of New Bedford and the late Manuel Senra, Maria Lurdes Tavares and Miguel DeCosta Senra. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 8:45 am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd. with a Funeral Mass at 9:45 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford followed by burial in Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent for Breast Cancer Care to Southcoast Center for Women's Health, 300-B Faunce Corner Rd, Dartmouth, MA 02747. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
