Maria T. Catojo

Maria “Dina” T. Catojo, 85, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on February 13, 2024. Dina was the wife of the late Walter Catojo. She was born in Achadinha, Sao Miguel, Acores and was the daughter of the late Joao and Ana Meia.

Dina is survived by her daughters Theresa C. Medeiros and Deborah Amaral and their husbands Frank Medeiros and James Amaral, her 4 grandchildren, Tracie Ferreira, Sherrie Brum, Randi Amaral and Jake Amaral. She is also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, Destin Pacheco, Carter Ferreira, Sophia Ferreira, Cole Coelho and Joshua Amaral. Dina was predeceased by her grandson Ryan Medeiros.

Dina worked in several garment factories and owned a local flower shop “Flowers by Dina” in Dartmouth, MA. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting and being in the company of her family and friends. She also enjoyed being with her dog Neiko who she referred to as her “baby boy”.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 8:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in St. Mary's Church, 795 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
