To the entire Fernandes family, my sincerest and heartfelt condolences for the loss of this fine, incredibly strong young man, your son, Noah. I had only recently learned about Noah and of your family's efforts to not only raise money on his behalf, in the form of a much needed park for the town of Fairhaven so that other children with disabilities like: your Noah, could have the opportunity to mesh with children from within their community as well as staying connected with their friends from school. I applaud your family's steadfast desire, enthusiasm and perseverence throughout these efforts and pledge to donate on behalf of this goal. When I came across the article about your son, while reading the online newspaper, The Chronicle, covering news for the town of Dartmouth myself, a Dartmouth native, (DHS and proud member of class of 1973)I was compelled to share your story about Noah and your plans for a park now, in his memory, that I shared the article on my Facebook timeline to help in bringing about awareness of the condition that afflicted his life with the hope of garnering more donations. I hope that your family did not mind my taking this step? If so, I humbly apologize as I know that social media can and often has had, negative feed back or response. Please believe me when I tell you that this was certainly not my intent? However, my resume of having been involved with children, some with physical disability, through personal experience as a cheerleading coach and teacher aide, I felt that because the friends on my list of whom also and more importantly, are sensitive, compassionate and supportive of my very own situation (stroke survivor) that my sharing of your article and the objective with TeamNoah, would certainly assist with the raising of said funds needed to complete the park. I ask that Our Almighty God keep watch over your entire family and friends during this difficult time, and that He sees you all through the realization of your goal and with the materialization of the park. I never met Noah, but know many people on Team Noah and know your son did so much good for others in his short life.
