Norman Cordeiro, age 66, of Dartmouth, MA formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sharon (Olsen) Cordeiro to whom he had been married for 44 years.
He was born in Fall River, MA the son of the late Albert A. and Lillian (Souza) Cordeiro and was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Cordeiro was employed as a truck driver and fisherman for over 40 years with various local companies including D-Fillet until his retirement.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by his son Brock N. Cordeiro of Dartmouth; his sisters Elizabeth Lopes of Margate, FL and Edith Medeiros and her husband Joseph of Sarasota, FL; and his brother Richard Cordeiro and his wife Shirley of Tiverton, RI. He was the brother of the late Albert A. Cordeiro, Jr. of Mt. Olive, AL. He is survived by his in-laws Susanne and Donald Hathaway of Groveland, MA; Carl and Sheila Olsen of Fairhaven, MA as well as several nieces and nephews.
