Rosemary Ventura

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Carlos R. and Mary (Athyade) Ventura, she had resided in Dartmouth for most of her life.

She graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Rosemary worked for 34 years as a compassionate health care professional caring for the elderly at Brandon Woods. She was an avid New England sports fan and loved music, especially Bruce Springsteen. She loved the outdoors, especially taking long walks on the beach with her beloved dogs. Rosie loved the simple things in life and was happiest spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her siblings, Carlmichael Ventura and his wife Brenda of Fitchburg, MA, Carlos Rego Ventura of Providence, RI, Justin Louis Ventura and his wife Ana Isabel of Tampa, FL, Carleen Martin and her husband John of Cumberland, RI, Lea McBratney and her husband James of Dartmouth, Mary Ventura of Dartmouth and Anita Ventura of Uxbridge, MA; her lifelong dear friend, Diane Petitjean; thirteen nieces and nephews; and three grand nieces. She was the sister of the late Ray Ventura.
