A lifelong New Bedford resident, she was the daughter of the late Louis O. Ouellette and Florence Richard.
She was the loving wife of the late Leo C. Casavant, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.
Mother of 5 children, she was a homemaker for many years before she went to work at the Jewish Convalescent Home as a nurses aide, which she loved. She enjoyed visiting Europe and Alaska with her husband, spending time at Wells Beach, Maine in the summer, going out to dinner (Davy's Locker and Blue Point were her favorites), and spending time with her family.
She was a wonderful cook and her homemade desserts were legendary.
She is survived by her son David L. his wife Corinne of Dartmouth, MA; daughter Nancy and her partner Angel Anholt of DesMoines, WA; Cheryl Ann Mills and her husband Edward of Westerly RI; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister, Muriel Miller and brother, Donald Ouellette, sons Bruce M. Casavant and Shawn P. Casavant and grandson Stephen P. Casavant.
We would like to acknowledge the staff at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home for the outstanding care she received while a resident there.
