her passing in 2003.
Born in Brockton on October 6, 1924, he was a son of the late Joseph and Celia Tropea. David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, David went on to work as an Electronics Technician for the federal government at Hanscom Air Force Base for over 30 years. Upon his retirement in 1975, he and his family moved to Cape Cod where they settled in South Dennis.
David ran a part-time TV repair business out of his home and enjoyed working on various projects around
the house. Above all, family was most important to David. He was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
David is survived by his children, Frank R. Tropea, Marygrace Cerce and her husband Rickey, Robert M.
Tropea and his wife Susan; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Tropea; his grandchildren, Jennifer A. Solano and
husband Steve Solano, Danielle, Ashley, John, Rosemary, and David Tropea; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Joseph, Mia, and Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, David was predeceased by two sons, David H. Tropea Jr., and Joseph Tropea; and his brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Frank Tropea.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 14th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at
Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. A funeral service will be held inside the funeral home at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
