Donald Francis Daley 89, of Dennis, MA, died Saturday December 26th, 2020. He was born to the late Francis and Grace Daley, July 10, 1931, in Milton, MA. Donny graduated from Milton High School in 1949. He went on to receive a BA in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 1954. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served with HQ Company, First battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Arlington, VA. He received an honorable discharge as acting First Sergeant in 1956.

On October 19th, 1957 he married Jane Ann White in Wollaston, Ma. They resided in Weymouth, MA prior to moving to Florham Park, NJ. Jane passed away in Dennis, Ma in July 1986.

Don married Catherine (Kitty) Gibson on March 20th, 1993 and lived in Dennis, MA until her death in December 2014.

Don enjoyed many sports. He played football, basketball and baseball for Milton High School. He went on to play four years as a catcher for the Northeastern University baseball team. He continued his catching days during his time with The Old Guard in VA.

His work career was primarily spent as an Executive with Worthington Pump Company (Dresser Industries). He retired in 1993 and moved to his home on Cape Cod in Dennis, MA. Don spent many years enjoying the winter months in Naples, FL and summers on Cape Cod.

Don was preceded in death by his Sister Jean Smith and Brother Jack Daley. He is survived by his Sister Nancy Hayes, sons Michael (Lisa), Bob, Tom (Ursula) and Greg. He has 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

There will be a Catholic Mass at Saint Pius X, 5 Barbara St, South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday December 31, 2020 at 10:00 am followed by a burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England or 650 Suffolk St #405, Lowell, MA 01854.

I only knew Don a brief time. He was a good man who loved his family. I am sorry for your loss. I am sure he us at peace. I enjoyed his company daily.
