

Elizabeth F. Wyman, 88 of Brewster, died Sept 12, 2014, after a long struggle with heart disease and dementia. She is survived by her sons Charles B. Wyman III of Brewster, Ma, William F. Wyman of Laurel, Md, and Scott E. Wyman of Bethlehem, Pa, as well as her grandchildren, Shannon, Jessica, Justin, Brett Corey, Elizabeth, and great grandchild Avery.
Born on July 30, 1926, in Arlington, Mass she spent her childhood years there where she graduated from Arlington High School. After high school she enrolled in a typing class at night school. With these new skills she got a job at the Nabisco Company in Cambridge Mass as a clerk typist. She worked there for a few years until she was set-up on a blind date with Charlie Wyman. The rest is history as they say, after a brief court-ship they were married in Arlington Mass. Not long after Betty became a full-time homemaker raising her 4 children.
Betty had many interests. She was an avid gardener you could always find her in the yard planting flowers. She loved to knit and crochet. Betty loved travel and summer vacations with her family at Nickerson State Park in Brewster.
Betty loved animals, and had various pets from time to time especially dogs and cats. She loved her cat Lucky. She cherished the time spent with friends and family.
Betty was a loving soul and will be forever missed by all who knew her. As one journey ends a new one begins, GOD SPEED, WE LOVE YOU
Visiting hours will be Thursday, Sept 18, 2014, from 6pm to 8pm at Doane Beal & Ames 729 Route 134, South Dennis, Mass 02660. A grave side service at 11:00 will be held Friday Sept 19, 2014, at the Brewster Memorial Cemetery, Route 124, Brewster, Mass, following a lunch at Oliver’s Restaurant/Tavern 960 Main St. Route 6A, Yarmouth Port, Ma 508-362-6062 for a celebration of her life.
Memorial contributions may be flowers or a donation to the American Heart Association.
