OBITUARY

Jeffrey Alan Cardillo

24 February, 1951 – 4 January, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Doane Beal & Ames

Jeffrey Alan Cardillo, a brave and loyal man, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 74, at home with his family by his side. Born in White Plains, NY, and raised in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent and Mildred (Hawkes) Cardillo.

After graduating from high school, Jeff enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where he served as a proud Vietnam War Veteran. Following his last duty assignment and major command, Corporal Cardillo was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Combat Action Ribbon, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. After active duty, he transferred to the Marine Reserves.

Jeff continued to exemplify deep honor and courage by becoming a police officer. After many years of dedicated service, Detective Cardillo retired and moved to Cape Cod, settling in West Dennis, Massachusetts.

In his personal life, Jeffrey enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, spending time with his friends, and a good cigar. He was a father of five daughters. He loved them fiercely and unconditionally, celebrating their individuality while teaching them strength, kindness, and compassion by example. His legacy lives on in the love, values, and resilience he instilled in each of them.

Jeff is predeceased by his sisters Nancy Scauzillo and Peggy Byrne, as well as his loving companion of many years, Susan Warren. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Cardillo-Springer (Lainie Springer) of Tillson, NY, Danielle Saporite (Rudy) of Sturgis, SD, Rachel Cardillo, Mackenzie Cardillo, of Harwich, MA and Amy Cardillo, of Hopewell Jct, NY and his grandchildren Rudy, Lily, Matthew, and Michael. His sister Amy Buckley of Rhode Island, sister Judy Poroazzo of Jupiter, Florida, and brother Robert Cardillo of Florida. Jeff is also survived by Susan's daughters, whom he shared a special bond: Allie, Betsy, Katie, their spouses, and children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jeff's memory and service to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod.
