She spent her formative years in Framingham and later resided in West Yarmouth, where she raised her children. Jennie’s passion was helping people. She attended Youville Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1979. Continuing her education, she became a Registered Nurse through Mass Bay Community College in 1991.
Known for her caring nature and dedication to her profession, she had a very fruitful career; working for Leonard Morse Hospital, Cape Cod Collaborative, Adlife Homecare, PSA Healthcare, and Aveanna, where she left a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who know her.
To know Jennie, is to know she was a dedicated healthcare professional, foster parent, single mother to 5 adopted daughters, animal lover, and beloved Grammy to many. In her free time, Jennie found joy in being the loudest cheerleader at all of her daughters sporting events, going to the beach with a bag of Reeses peanut butter cups, reading books (especially Nora Roberts), being an avid Celtics fan, sitting by the fireplace, watching sunrises and sunsets, and listening to oldies music.
She is survived by her loving sister Tracy, and cherished daughters Ashley, Portia, Taisha, Brianna, and Tiffany. Jennie was known for her kindness, generosity, and selfless dedication to her family. To numerous individuals, she was a guiding figure and a source of love and support as a foster parent for many years. All, who she always considered family. Jennie is now reunited with her parents and siblings in heaven, surrounded by eternal peace and love.
She touched many lives with her compassionate care and unwavering commitment. Her warm smile and comforting presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
We will be celebrating her beautiful life on March 16, 2024, at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home in South Dennis, MA from 2pm-6pm.
Mom, your legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire us every day. Rest in peace, knowing that you were loved beyond measure and that you will be dearly missed.
