Joan Whitney Kennelly, 90, most recently of Brewster, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital surrounded by her sons on April 13, 2023, after a short period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Stuart and Madeline Whitney, growing up in Worcester, MA.
She was the wife of the late Richard Kennelly for over 58 years and was pre-deceased by her brother Francis and his wife Barbara.
She leaves behind her two loving sons, Jay Kennelly and his wife Beth of South Dennis and Todd Kennelly of Yarmouth Port. She was known as Granny to her four grandchildren Amanda Daniels and her husband Sean of West Springfield; Derek Besly and his fiancée Amber Hoisington of Dennis Port; Tyler Besly of South Yarmouth and Paige Kennelly and her fiancée Ryan Morrissey of Rochester, NH. She was Gigi to three great-grandchildren, Keegan, Loreli and Ryan and leaves many nieces and nephews.
At Joan’s request there will be no formal services and burial will be private.
