Joe attended and graduated Worcester’s Boys Trade High School. He was an electrician for many years.
He served in the Airforce in the 1960’s.
In 1977, he became the owner and operator of Joie’s Pub in Shrewsbury, MA for 10 years before moving down to the Cape in the 1980s.
Joe enjoyed golfing. He had many friends, but he especially loved his golf buddies, and his early morning “coffee” meets. He was a member of the Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands and the “Early Birds”. He enjoyed going on golf trips to different places as well as boating and even did a stint as a lobsterman.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Williams, his sisters-in-law, Lisa and husband Ken, Paula and husband Ali, his nieces and nephews Steve Royer Jr and wife Danielle, Courtney Kelly and husband Ryan, Lindsey Bernard and her fiancée Harvey, Sara Azizi and great nephew and nieces Vincent, Vivienne and Lillian Royer. Also, Joe now has a grand niece, Madison Kelly.
Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 11 am – 1 pm at Doane, Beal & Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude’s and/or Animal Rescue League.
