

Linda J. Dinda (Theroux), 80, of Brewster, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, after a brief illness. Born May 30, 1945, in Providence, Rhode Island, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Wilfred and Jane (Burke) Theroux. Linda was a spirited and vibrant soul who left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her wit, charm, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends defined her long and fulfilling life.
On August 10, 1968, Linda married her beloved husband, John Dinda, and began their lives together in Plainville, Connecticut. Their remarkable partnership was a testament to their love and dedication to each other. Together they raised one son, Kevin, and celebrated the joys of being grandparents to their granddaughter, Kayleigh.
Linda is survived by her husband, John, her brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Peggy Theroux of New London, New Hampshire, her granddaughter Kayleigh Dinda and her mother Lenice Tripputi of East Haddam, Connecticut, several nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded by her son, Kevin, and granddaughter, Ava Lynn.
After receiving her master’s degree from Boston University School of Education, Linda dedicated 27 years of her career to educating young minds as a History and Social Studies teacher. She was passionate about her work at Plainville High School, ensuring that her students not only learned about the past, but also understood their potential to shape the future. Her colleagues and students remember her as a passionate educator who believed in the value of knowledge.
Linda found immense joy in traveling and creating memories with family and friends. Her home in Cape Cod, a place she adored, was often filled with laughter and the company of those she loved. Beyond her personal passions, Linda was a devout Catholic and actively involved in her community, constantly offering her support and companionship to those in need.
Family and friends may call at Doane Beal & Ames, 729 Route 134 South Dennis, Massachusetts from 9:30 to 10:30 on Monday, June 16, 2025. A Memorial Mass will follow at Our Lady of the Cape 468 Stony Brook Road Brewster, Massachusetts. A burial will be held at a later date.
