HARWICH- Madeline (Daley) Lee, 90, died peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Wingate at Harwich. She was the beloved wife of the late Christopher W. Lee with whom she shared 49 years of marriage until his passing in 1997.
Born in Hartford, CT on November 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Daniel E. and Kathryn (Walsh) Daley. Prior to her retirement, Madeline was an Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Aircraft Systems at the Hamilton Standard Division of UTC for 20 years.
Madeline loved her trips to NYC with her dear friend Josephine Muska, walking on the beaches of Cape Cod and travelling to Ireland. She also loved knitting, reading, music and movies. She was a proud parishioner of Our Lady of the Cape Parish in Brewster. Above all, her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her family, particularly her children and grandchildren and her many friends.
Madeline is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Linda Ann Lee of Dennis, MA, Candace Bassett and her husband Raymond of Rumford, RI, and Daniel C. Lee and his wife Carolyn of Simsbury, CT; six grandchildren, Tiffany Tourgee and her husband Jason, Anthony Rosemarino, Lorene Perry and her husband Michael, and Kathleen, Christopher, and Nicholas Lee; five great grandchildren, Bryana Savattere, Devin Lee, Anthony Rosemarino Jr., Jason Tourgee Jr., and Justin Tourgee.
In addition to her husband, Madeline was predeceased by her brother, Daniel E. Daley,Jr.
Madeline’s family would like to thank the nurses, rehab and staff at Wingate at Harwich, as well as Fidelis Hospice for the compassion and care they showed during her time spent there.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. Her Funeral Mass will be held directly following visitation at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 468 Stony Brook Rd., Brewster, MA.
