Michael Marry

Michael Marry, born on November 29th, 1943, passed away surrounded by love on July 18th, 2023. Mike was the beloved husband of Pauline (Shanahan) Marry. She was his world. Married for 57 years, the two settled in Billerica where they raised their daughters, Laurie and Brenda. Retirement years saw Mike and Pauline settling further south, in Cape Cod.

Mike was also the cherished father of Laurie Marry-Pellegrino (Michael Pellegrino) and Brenda Shea (Francis Shea), as well as the treasured Grampy to Abigail, Olivia and Elliot Pellegrino.

Mike spent many years in the military, first serving in the Marines and then later in the Army Reserves. Mike retired from the Army Reserves as an aircraft technician. If it could fly, Mike could tell you how to fly it and fix it.

Mike was a member of the Retired Men’s Club of Cape Cod, where he enjoyed going on various trips and making new acquaintances.

Mike loved to travel with his wife. Their many travels led them throughout different parts of the United States and Europe. Wherever he went, Mike was sure to make friends. Aside from traveling, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, attending various events for his grandchildren, reading, fishing and regaling others with his many stories from his days in the military. Mike’s family will also treasure his corny dad jokes and his amazing, stoic strength.

Mike also had many cousins whom he shared fond memories with and is the uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mike was loved by many and will be remembered with great fondness.

Visitation followed by a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at the Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis.
