Sandra L. Pirnat

Sandra L. Pirnat, of South Dennis, succumbed to her struggle with pulmonary fibrosis on Monday, May 19, 2014, at age 59. Sandi was born on November 14, 1954. The daughter of the late Leo Pirnat, she is survived by her mother Jane Pirnat as well as her sister Judy Smith and her husband Brad, her brother Gary Pirnat and his wife Michele, and her sister Nancy Michniewicz and her husband David.

Sandi was born in Pittsfield, MA and moved to Cape Cod with her family as child. She moved to Derry, NH for several years before moving back to the Cape.

Sandi was an avid reader and writer, a student of Creative Writing classes at Southern NH University. She loved to quilt and knit in her spare time. Her most cherished role in the community was as a volunteer leader at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Harwich, working hard for local foster kids.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Harwich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Peter's Lutheran Church to help continue her work with foster kids.
