Born in Lowville, New York to the late Fred and Ida (Hoffer) Harrienger.
He graduated from Lowville Academy and served in the Army from 1950-1952. Tom attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a Civil Engineer degree in 1957.
He worked for Mobil Oil Company in the Commercial Division for 32 years and then worked at the Pelham House in Dennisport part time for many years.
In 1991, he married his second wife, Agnes.
He enjoyed all sports and played football in high school.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes J. (McCarthy) Harrienger, his children, Marc Harrienger (wife Cathy) and Beth Celona (husband Peter) and stepchildren, Ed Wilson (wife Judi) and Susan Pierce. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brett and Grace Celona, Jeffrey Thomas, Remi and Ben Harrienger, Braden, Hannah and Eli Wilson, and Jacob and Emma Pierce, as well as his great great-grandchildren, Chandler, Mia, and Kennedy.
In addition to being predeceased by his parents, he is also predeceased by his siblings, Jean, Charles and David, and granddaughter Lauren.
Celebration of life will be held at Doane Beal and Ames, 729 Rt 134, South Dennis on Friday July 30, 2021, at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
