

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut he summered in Brewster with his family as a child. He fell in love with Brewster and eventually made it his home.
Tom was educated at Sacred Heart High School and Connecticut School of Electronics. He also attended plumbing school and became a licensed plumber. He worked as a machinist and a plumber for many years before retiring in 1998.
Tom met the love of his life, Arlene, in 1965 to whom he was happily married to for 50 years.
He had many talents and hobbies including model trains, tropical fish and woodworking. He also loved gardening and took great pride in his yard and his home. Tom was a very outgoing person who loved to socialize with friends. He enjoyed his trip to the Swap Shop at the Brewster Transfer Station, chatting with the locals at Laurinos and especially loved his extended family at the Wellfleet Beachcomber.
Most of all he loved his family. Tom was the happiest when he was in the company of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his wife Arlene, Tom is survived by two daughters and their families. His eldest daughter, Kathleen, and her husband Matt Hammatt of Portsmouth, RI have three sons: Andrew, his wife Ashley, and their children Tristan, Jameson, and Athena of Jacksonville, NC; Brendan and he fiancé Alison of Middletown, RI; and Thomas of Portsmouth, RI. His youngest daughter, Maureen, and her husband Steve Ross of Eastham, MA have two daughters Ashley and Jessica. He is also survived by his niece and nephew Krissy and Bobby Bearse.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 pm Wednesday December 2nd at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, South Dennis.
