Maria “Doris” Luisa Zepeda lived in La Union, where she lived with her brothers and sisters Angela, Pedro, Luis, Martha, Ruben y Xiomara. As the oldest, she would always look after her siblings and had amazing stories growing up in such a humble home.
She loved to dance Tango and was an amazing cook. Then in the early 1960s she met Leocadio Zepeda and were married for 50+ years and from this union 3 children were born. With her husband and children, she loved to travel, go fishing, and enjoy every second of being a mother. In the 80s, she and her husband migrated to the states to provide a better and safer life for their children. She provided the best care for her family until they had children of their own. With grandchildren she discovered a different love in which she enjoyed very much by dancing, laughing, caring, teaching and loving every single one of them.
Sadly, on January 7, 2021, Doris passed away but Jehovah has her in his memories and is survived by her husband of 50+ years Leocadio Zepeda, their three children Ana Evelyn Chacon, Alex Zepeda, and Mack Zepeda. She is also remembered by her brothers and sisters Angela, Pedro, Luis, Martha, Ruben y Xiomara, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
A memorial service for Maria will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel South Gate, 8665 California Ave, South Gate, CA 90280.
