Michael Burkhart Castro

Michael was born in Seattle Washinginton to Miguel Gallardo Castro and Lottie Collins Burkhart on February 21, 1943. Mike was the third born child in a family that consisted of five children Mike has two older brothers Robert B. Krisologo, and Lee B, Krisologo. Mike also has a younger sister Janice B. Castro and a younger brother Theodore, (Teddy), Castro.

Mike left Seattle Washington in 1976 preferring the warmer climates and many varied activities that California offers.

Mike had a variety of jobs from bus-boy to warehouseman. Mike worked Kas-Tex Corp., a textile company for many years (25+). It was at Kastex- Corp. that he met the beautiful Stella Pardo who later became his wife and best friend. They have been soul-mates for a total of 26 years.

Michael and Stella as well as Stella’s children Debbie Laureen Gonzalez and Martin Christopher Gonzales shared many activities and travels together. These activities ranged from simple beach trips to road trips across the states, (AZ, .MT. OR., AR, .WA. TX. and Canada to name a few). Mike and his family also have been to Hawaii, and New York City, NEW YORK CITY! Michael however preferred the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, swimming and hiking so much that Stella, Debbie, and Christopher nicknamed him “Nature Boy”.

Michael enjoyed the many genres of music as well. He enjoyed listening to “Oldies”, “Motown”, and “Classic Rock”, but mainly country music. Michael enjoyed the likes of Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, and Freddy fender. Michael was also a big Elvis Presley fan.

Michael also enjoyed gambling, (a little too much). He would enjoy horse racing, playing black-jack, but mainly going to the casinos in California. as well as going to Las Vegas, NV.

Luckily, Stella had children who were able to make Michael and Stella proud grand- parents, to Andrew Rene Gonzalez, Brenden Christopher Gonzales, Alexys Nichole Gonzales and Ethan Martin Gonzales. Michael lived for the grand children; he loved them so much and would do anything and everything for them. Michael will continue to love them in the afterlife.
