

Sergio Barron Lopez was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Papi will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

Papi was raised with Sergio has 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Papi was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, Papi enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While growing up, some of his best friends were Pepe,. Later in life, he became friends with Rapalo, El Chaparro,.
On May 14, 1977 Papi exchanged wedding vows with Yamila Guadalupe Garcia at Guadalupe Chapel in Los Angeles of Los Angeles California. Empathic and loyal, Papi was committed to making his new family happy.
Papi worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Papi was blessed with 5 biological children + 3 that he raised and 4 grandchildren that he also raised., Jane, Gricelda, Yasmina, Sara, Rosanna + Claudia, Lucia, Kristian, and Joshua, Omar, Ebonie, Jonathan. Another blessing for Papi was the gift of 12 grandchildren plus 7more, Sergio, Joshua, Briana, Omar, Eduardo (Lalito), Eduardo(Negro) Ebonie, Allison, Sarita, Daniel, Jonathan(Boy) Ramon, Ivan, Benny, Eva, John, Zoey baby Kristian, and Gael.
Fortunately, Papi enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Papi worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Construction. He did 40 years of ceramics and 20 plus years in construction. Papi always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Papi enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. He used to do pottery with his dad Benigno, and he worked in a pottery company for a long time before getting into construction. He learned pottery from his dad. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Though he never set out to gain individual recognition, Papi was given accolades for his many and varied accomplishments throughout his life. The Best GRANDPA.
Papi enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Sergio favorite vacation was going to Guanajuato to visit his home town and catch up with old friends and spend time with family while hiring mariachi for the night and dancing the night away. He would also go visit the family's ranch which are now restaurants run by family. He also visit Cristo Rey and El Callejon del Beso.
Papi was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was Sergios favorite pet was Princess. She was a chihuahua. They were best friends for sergio had princess for like 10 plus years.
When Papi’s retirement finally arrived in 2007, he was well prepared. He retired at home to be closer to family and be involved with his grandchildren. In retirement, he found new pleasure in helping with his grandchildren, he would take them to school and pick them up from school every day. He enjoyed spending time with them. He would take them to get donuts before class and Slurpee's after school. Even in retirement, Papi continued to stay in touch with his old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Papi was active in his new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered him.
Papi passed away on 27 de enero de 2021 at Papi passed away at home 5865 Loveland St Bell Gardens CA 90201. Papi fought a brave battle against Lung Cancer. He is survived by his Wife Yamila; his Children, Jane, Gricelda, Yasmina, Sara, Rosanna Claudia, Lucia, Kristian; grandchildren Sergio, Joshua, Omar, Brianna, Eduardo(lalito) Eduardo(negro) Ebonie, Sarita, Allison, Daniel, Jonathan(boy), Ramon, Ivan, Benny, Eva, John, Zoey, Gael. At home. Papi would be laid to rest at home next to his dad.
Simply stated, Papi was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Papi leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Sergio Barron Lopez.
