Found peace, Sunday, September 21, at age 84. Beloved husband and special friend of Helen E. (Nee Hojnacki). Devoted father of Jane A. Goodwin, Mary A. (Michael) Bartz and John E. (Sheryl) Briesemeister. Dear grandfather of Steven (Deanna) Quirk, Gregory (Annie) Quirk, MaryJane (Michael) Wymore, the late Jacob Eugene (Amanda Guzewski), Eric Bartz and Renee (Daniel) Bartelak; and great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eugene served 4 years in the US Air Force and retired as a captain after 36 years of outstanding service to the South Milwaukee Fire Department. Private services were held. Private interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Memorials to Restore the SM Lagoon (restorethesmlagoon.com) appreciated. Lots of love, till we all meet again.
