
Edwin Davis Pressler died on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Abington Hospice in Warminster. He was 83 years of age. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Collegeville, he was the son of the late Eugene and Helen Pressler. Edwin had been a Warminster resident for the past 49 years.
Mr. Pressler was president for U-Haul in his early years and transitioned to a position with Bell Telephone, which allowed him to pursue his hobbies and his family.
He was a race car driver, driving the ED#90 with URC (United Racing Club). He traveled to many tracks and participated in many races over the years. He was an excellent fabricator and enjoyed the art of building whatever he could. He built all of his own trailers during the racing years. In later years, Edwin became an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf.
Edwin was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Evelyn, on September 23, 2015. He was a devoted father to Edwin E. Pressler (Karen) of Warminster, John R. Pressler (Kelly) of Hatboro and Tara Saresky (Mike) of Roslyn. He was the loving grandfather of Katie, Eddie, Michael, Natalie and Johnny. He is also survived by his brother Robert Pressler and his sister Elizabeth Pressler. He was pre-deceased by his brother Eugene.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 12-4pm at the Roman Delight, 255 E Street Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. There will be a time for sharing memories at 12:45pm.
