Ann was born in Philadelphia PA, to parents, Francis Vincent Butash and Irene Geraldine Golembiewski. She graduated from St. Hubert's High School for Girls in 1965..Ann went on to establish a career in the Federal Government. She was employed at the Frankford Arsenal until its closing first as a secretary. She later worked at the Naval Depot in northeast Philadelphia. She started as a G3 secretary and completed her career as a G12 systems analyst. This progression was unheard of without a college education; but Ann had many skills and was awarded many commendations during her career by military as high as a colonel.
Ann was a member of Washington's Crossing United Methodist Church, Women's Club of Newtown. She was very active in her church. She loved traveling and visited Italy, Ireland, Bermuda and California, the Southwest and New England, most times with her sister Joan Blum. Ann loved eating out with her many friends. She especially enjoyed her annual Christmas tree trimming party and cookie exchanges.
Anyone who met Ann invariably said "she is so sweet and she was noted for her kindness to others.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and sister Joan Blum.
Ann is survived by her sister Mary Butash and her nieces, Mary's daughters, Laura Michelle Feltyberger and Jennifer Eve Feltyberger as well as her brother-in-law Peter Blum and his sons Timothy, Christopher and Alex who she loved as sons.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Ann's honor to Acts Signature Hospice, 420 Delaware Dr., Ft Washington PA 19034 or the Resident Gratuity Fund, Southampton Estates, 238 Street Rd. Southampton PA 18966.
Ann's memorial service will be held on May 26, 2026 at 11:00 am in the second floor auditorium at Southampton Estates (238 Street Rd. Southampton PA 18966). Ask at the entrance for specific directions. Internment of Ann's cremains will be private at Forrest Hills Cemetery with her parents.
