After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, Henry returned to Philadelphia and joined the Police Department. He loved entertaining his grandchildren with stories from both of these times of his life. He had a great appreciation for the past and loved to take family members on tours of all of the places he lived and frequented during his younger days in Fishtown. He also continued to visit neighbors in Parkwood until recently.
Henry lived in Philadelphia, PA, until 2010 when he and Marge moved to Marietta, GA. For the last few years he lived with his son's family in Jamison, PA, where Matt, Kate, and the girls made sure he was happy and loved and well-cared for. A special thank you to Kate's sister, Carol, for including Pop-Pop in her family events and for her guidance in his end-of-life care.
Henry will be interred in the Washington's Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown in January 2022. His beloved wife, Marge, will be with him.
