

Marlyn “Phil” Phillips died on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Abington Hospital. Born in Berwick, PA, he was the son of the late Brady and Lillian Bullock Phillips. He was 81 years of age. Phil was a longtime Warminster resident.
Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Berwick High class of 1952. He was a Top-Notch Sales Professional in the automobile industry that worked for Standard Ignition Parts, was the Proprietor of Hatboro Auto Parts and finally a stand-out car salesman until he retired from Stockburger Chevrolet.
Phil was an Army Veteran that served his country in the Korean War. He served as the Ways and Means Director for the Warminster Pioneers and Chief of Umpires for the Warminster Boys Baseball Association. Phil was a proud member of AMVETS, Post 273 in Southampton, where he was among great friends.
He managed to persevere through adversity many times during his life. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, camping and you can bet was an avid Philly sports fan.
Phil was the devoted father of Mark (Suzanne) Phillips, Clifford PA; Debra McBratney, Berwick PA. He was the loving grandfather of Hannah Phillips, Joseph McBratney IV. He is also survived by his nephew Brady Newton and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Gifford Phillips, his sisters Geralda Newton and Eleanor Jean Boust, his son-in-Law Joseph McBratney III, and his neice Harriett Newton.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road and 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. His Memorial Service will be at 6 PM. His inurnment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown at a later date.
