Peter E. Avanzato died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Abington Hospice in Warminster, PA. Born in Reading, PA; he was the son of the late Luigi and Carmella Avanzato. Peter was a Hatboro resident for the past 39 years and had previously lived in Lower Moreland Township.
Mr. Avanzato was a retired agent with the US Customs Service in Philadelphia. He was a Navy veteran. Peter was an avid woodworker and was known as the “Pine Baron”.
Peter was the beloved husband of Barbara Gloeckler Avanzato for 50 years. He was the devoted father of Peter Avanzato (Donna) of Hatboro, Heather Bruser (Jesse) of Southampton, and Timothy Avanzato of Southampton. He was the loving grandfather of Jessica, Gabriel Avanzato, and Levi and Summer Bruser. Peter is also survived by his brothers Dominic, Frank, and Joe Avanzato.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 2nd Street Pike and Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA 18966.
