Samuel N Ceccola

Samuel N. Ceccola died on Friday, July 05, 2013 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was a source of strength and inspiration for all who knew of his unwavering courage. He passed away at the Abington Hospice in Warminster. He was 69 years of age

Born in Philadelphia, he was the adoring son of Samuel Ceccola of Warrington and the late Jennie Guarro Ceccola. He was a longtime resident of Warminster.

Samuel was the beloved husband of Joan P. Gioia Ceccola for 47 years. He was the devoted father of Jeffrey M. (and his wife Sharon) Ceccola of West Chester and Jennifer J. (and her husband Keith) Souder of Collegeville. He was the special Pop Pop to Kody and Gianna Souder and loving grandfather of Allie, Jake Sarah, and Sophie Ceccola. In addition to his loving family, he also bore a son, Samuel N. Ceccola, Jr. of VA. He is survived by a sister, Nancy (and her husband Michael) McCleary of Warrington. He had two faithful companions in his Border Collies, Maggie and Missy.

Sam had many close friends and valued all of them, in particular his long time friendships with Fred Darling and Ray Kozin.

Samuel received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Peirce College in Philadelphia. He was a Communicant of the Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Warminster.

Mr. Ceccola was computer programmer and educator. He was a former employee of Sperry Univac (Unisys). He was also a self-employed consultant, working with Penn State (Great Valley), QVC, and Chestnut Hill College.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 9th from 8:30 to 10 AM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Rd & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton. His Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Warminster. The interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler.
